The association prioritizes enhancing the quality and safety standards of Thailand’s pet food production. Manufacturing processes adhere to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards set by the Department of Livestock Development. Emphasis is also placed on meeting the requirements of trade partner countries and international standards.
Raw Material Sourcing
1. Aquatic Ingredients:
Ingredients like tuna, sardines, mackerel, and salmon comply with Codex standards and TTIA’s Tuna Guidelines. They are approved by the Department of Fisheries to ensure quality and safety.
2. Meat Ingredients:
Imported meat is sourced from countries designated as disease-free zones by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). All imports are inspected and approved by the Department of Livestock Development.
3. Domestic Chicken Ingredients:
Chicken used in local production meets international standards, adhering to principles of animal welfare, food safety, and environmental sustainability. The Thai poultry industry ensures its operations are free from animal epidemics as specified by OIE standards.
Quality Assurance
All raw materials undergo residue testing in internationally accredited laboratories. They are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) to certify compliance with safety and quality standards.
